Duration of Course: 6 hours
Short Description: We implement a realistic approach to preparing for a violent encounter. Our students will gain insight and develop confidence with the human anatomy and focused skills that will aid in handling a physical confrontation regardless of weight, size, and strength. Situational awareness and mindset will be defined within the context of a physical confrontation and discussed in depth. Students will leave with concepts that will help them adjust their attitudes and win under pressure by understanding what options they have when life throws a curve ball.

Mindset talk – What is it and how can we develop this state of mind?
Human Anatomy – knees, Elbows, eyes, throat, liver, inner ear canals, instep
Targeting strikes used on the vital areas of the anatomy - Palm strikes to the ears, spear elbow to the sternum/face, elbows to the eyebrows/temples, knees to the inside of and outside of the knees, head bud to the nose, top of head to the chin, instep stomps etc.
Discussion on weapons defense – Tools of opportunity (I.e. Chairs, pens, keys, walls, doors, posts etc.)
Intro to weapon defense (I.e. Knife, bat, pipe, gun)
Debrief on skills covered and Q & A
