R.O.C. will take you through eight lessons on how to conduct the new NRA Basics of Pistol Course. Once all lessons are completed we will end with the Performance requirements check list and Pistol Instructor Examination.
Pre-Requisites for this course are as follows:
Complete the NRA Basic Instructor Training Course
Complete the NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Course (Instr. Lead) and achieve a passing score of 90% or higher.

Intended for experienced pistol shooters who have completed the NRA Basic Instructor Training this course will develop NRA Certified Instructors who possess the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary to conduct the NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course. The course is a minimum 9.5 hours and covers the following topics:
Introduction to the NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Phase II lesson plans
Teaching pistol lesson I: Firearms and Range Safety Review
Teaching pistol lesson II: Fundamentals
Basic pistol instructional method
Teaching pistol lesson III: Loading, Cocking, De-cocking, Unloading, and Pistol Maintenance
Teaching pistol lesson IV: Shooting Positions and Shooting Qualification
Evaluating and improving performance of beginning pistol shooters
Using Appendix D and E: NRA Basic of Pistol Shooting Course Evaluation and Performance Requirements Checklist and Pistol Instructor Examination and Course Conclusion
